One of the reasons I began Adventures in Mommyland is because I was inspired by a few blogs in particular. They always seemed to encourage me that I wasn't alone, whether it be in parenting, finances, marriage, or my faith. One blog in particular that really spoke to me was Words of Williams.
Words of Williams is written by a married couple, Kelsey and Eric. I found their blog from Kelsey's personal blog on fashion, Snappy Casual. I loved how real they are; they're not afraid to share their struggles with things along with what they're doing right. They're always uplifting and encouraging, and now that they have a daughter of their own (who is sooo adorable!), I'm encouraged even more.
When they first announced they were looking for guest posters, I didn't want to do it. They have a good sized following, and I wasn't sure that's what I wanted. Did I really want a lot of people I don't know checking out my blog? What in the world would I write about?
But in the end I feel as if I should write a post. It's based on some advice my mother-in-law Mary gave me, and continues to remind me of often. It can be applied to any area of life, whether it be parenting (which is what I focused on in the guest post), finances, or marriage to name a few. Hopefully the post will encourage you, in whatever season of life you're in right now.
So here it is, my first guest post! Enjoy!
no! you made me cry.
