Paigey's Birthday Party

Last post on Paigey's birthday, I promise!!!

Yesterday we had her family party. She loves having everyone from aunts and uncles, cousins, grandparents and great-grandparents come to help her celebrate her day.

We let the kids choose their party theme every year, and Paige chose a Felicity theme (no big surprise, even though she didn't know she was getting the doll!). I had some trouble finding ideas for this theme that worked for a large amount of people, most of them being adults. Our menu consisted of glazed ham slices, freshly made bread, apple sauce, beets, two kinds of pickles, pickled green beans and lemonade. We were supposed to have a salad to go with it as well, but some crazy exhausted stressed out party planner forgot where she put the menu, so forgot to buy the fixings. Remind me to fire her before Ryan's party in just over a month!

The cupcakes were pretty fun; they didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, but that's just the perfectionist in me talking. The best part was that they doubled as table centerpieces!

We don't play any games or have any scheduled activities; it's mostly just getting to hang out with family we haven't seen in awhile, eat *hopefully* yummy food, and celebrate the birthday kid!
